A FAMILY TALE!
Part of a family group of companies which was
originally established in 1883, W E Franklins offered a
cleaning and renovation service for most house furnishings
such as carpets, curtains, upholstery and beds.
Many bed mattresses at that time were filled with feathers, flock or hair and these were often remade by Franklins, including recovering and attention to the fillings such as teasing the horse-hair.
As spring interior mattresses became more popular, the service included recovering and remaking these too, adding extra fillings and in some cases renewing the spring unit.
All the expertise gained in renovation was then used to make our own range of new beds and mattresses which we sold in our own retail shop along with other manufacturer's ranges.
Over the years, this has expanded to where we are today, selling many of the leading makes such as Vi-Spring, Dunlopillo and Komfi to name but a few.
The business has gradually expanded because not only do we have many years of experience in the bedding industry, we also offer a personal service from the moment a customer walks into our showrooms to select a bed or mattress, right through until our delivery men place it in their bedroom!
OPENING TIMES:
Monday to Saturday - 9am to 5pm
Late Night Wednesday - 9am to 7pm
Sunday - 12noon to 4pm
